Jennifer Garner is stuck in an elevator at Comic-Con event

Actress Jennifer Garner has admitted that she was stuck in an elevator for over an hour during her first visit to San Diego Comic-Con.

The 52-year-old recently made a cameo appearance in “Deadpool and Wolverine,” reprising her role as martial arts assassin Elektra Natchios.

On Instagram, she posted several videos about her ordeal in the elevator with the caption: “Baby’s first Comic Con: a short story.”

The timing of the recordings is unclear, but Garner took part in the Comic-Con panel on Deadpool and Wolverine earlier this week.

After two minutes, Garner said, “Hey guys, we’re stuck in this elevator. I could use a Wolverine, I could use a Deadpool. I could use someone… we’re looking for a staircase.”

“Thank you for having us here. My first Comic Con. See you soon.”

After eleven minutes, she said that she felt “hot and warm” and “spongy” in the cramped room, a word for “sweating.”

Singing in the elevator

As she posted a video of 45 minutes in the elevator, she began singing the children’s counting rhyme “99 Bottles Of Beer.”

After an hour, she quietly recited the Madonna hit “Like a Prayer,” which is part of the soundtrack to “Deadpool and Wolverine.”

Still smiling, Garner then showed her rescue after an hour and 12 minutes and cheered as the firefighters forcibly opened the doors.

“Deadpool and Wolverine,” starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, features numerous cameo appearances, including Wesley Snipes as vampire hunter Blade and Chris Evans as Marvel superhero Captain America.

Garner first played the role of Elektra, who uses the Okinawan weapon Sai, over 20 years ago in the 2003 film Daredevil alongside her ex-husband Ben Affleck.

She returned to the role of actor in the 2005 film “Elektra”, which, however, was poorly received by critics.
