Jennifer Lawrence’s bright blue clogs could be the new it-shoe for fall

If you follow the street styles of various New York celebs, you know there’s one tried-and-true outfit formula that they never go wrong with: button-down and pants. This summer alone, Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lawrence, Emily Ratajkowski and Blake Lively have all worn this foolproof combination in NYC. Lawrence, for example, likes to pair this celebrity duo with statement shoes. On August 12, less than 24 hours after the fashion muse paired a burgundy top from The Row with her suede slippers, Lawrence stepped out in cobalt blue clogs that jazzed up her all-black button-down and pants look.

Just days before her 34th birthday, Lawrence was photographed by the paparazzi outside her West Village apartment in the atmospheric pictures mentioned above. First of all, the Hunger Games The star kept a low profile in a black linen button-down shirt with casually rolled-up sleeves. Her casual topper looked surprisingly luxe next to her black loose-fitting sweatpants with a trendy wide-leg silhouette. Lawrence then broke up the monochromatic theme with cobalt blue clogs from Germany-based affordable shoe brand Haflinger—one of her favorite slip-ons for casual outings. With Lawrence’s seal of approval, these mules could replace UGGs on the most comfortable footwear scale.

From there, she opted for another classic Lawrence staple: The Row’s Margaux 17 Tote Duffle in tan—a sleek travel bag she first wore in March 2023. Her casual look wouldn’t be complete without a few chic accessories, including her favorite Phoebe Philo sunglasses and a thin black headband, presumably from red carpet-ready label Jennifer Behr. Although J.Law usually reserves her chic headbands for various A-list occasions (like the Dior Cruise 2025 show, her No hard feelings press tour last year and even the 2013 Met Gala), Lawrence’s latest outfit proves that they can also be worn in more casual ensembles. Studded earrings and her eye-catching wedding ring rounded out her OOTD.

As the Leo sun prepares to ring in year 34, she’ll most likely be delivering even more cool-girl combos in the days—maybe even hours—coming, so keep your eyes peeled. In the meantime, check out the (almost) birthday girl’s street style via the curated selection below. Extra points if you include her clogs in your summer-to-fall transitional wardrobe.
