John Parker returns to GF Hotels & Resorts as Chief Operating Officer

PHILADELPHIA, PA — GF Hotels & Resorts has announced the return of John Parker to its team. Parker, who served as Regional Vice President of Operations from 2009 to 2012, has returned to the company as Chief Operating Officer. With over 20 years of experience in the hotel industry, Parker is expected to add significant value to the GF Senior Leadership Team.

Parker’s most recent position was Chief Operating Officer at Real Hospitality Group, where he managed $2 billion in assets and $600 million in total revenue. He led a team of 4,500 employees and grew the company to become the largest third-party operator of hotels in New York City. Under his leadership, the company grew from a start-up to over 100 hotels, including major brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt and IHG. Parker played a critical role in marketing and selling the company, leading to its acquisition by Stonebridge.

Parker is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and holds a bachelor’s degree in travel tourism and commercial leisure. He is active in the hotel industry and serves on the Marriott Owner’s Advisory Board and the AHLA Management Company Committee. Parker is also a frequent speaker and panelist for hotel industry publications, including Hotel Business and Hotel Management.

As Chief Operating Officer of GF Hotels & Resorts, Parker will oversee the day-to-day operations alongside Vineet Nayyar, President & COO of the Owned Division, and the senior leadership team. His responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic initiatives to take the company to new heights. Parker will also focus on innovative marketing and operational strategies to increase revenue and improve customer satisfaction.

John Parker lives in Annapolis with his wife Kristyn and their dog Miles. He is a sports enthusiast and fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles.
