Jordan Janzen raps the classic DC Talk on stage with the Newsboys

Jordan Janzen from Manitoba recently fulfilled a childhood dream.

Before Michael Tait was in the Newsboys, he was in the Christian rock trio with tobyMac. As a child, Janzen dreamed of being part of a supergroup consisting of DC Talk and the Newsboys.

Since Janzen and The Color are currently on tour with the Newsboyshis dream came true and he posted on social media to share the exciting moment when he got to rap a part of “Jesus Freak”.

“This was honestly so much fun. Thank you, Michael Tait, for being such a great person,” Janzen wrote under the post.

Fans flooded the comments section sharing their excitement. “Incredible, wow, Amen,” read one comment.

“I grew up with this stuff. I really did. Love, Freedom, Disco was one of the first CDs I ever bought. I have been conducting Newsboys worship songs for decades. As a child I watched hours of DC Talk videos in my living room, I owned every cassette they released and eventually I knew every word to every song on the JesusFreak Album. That came in handy last night,” Janzen wrote under the post.

Another comment said: “This is so awesome!! I love that you were able to do this!”

The Colour are preparing to play the Corn and Apple Festival in Morden on August 25, 2024, before reuniting with the Newsboys for Worldwide Revival Nights on August 30.
