For 2012, JVC announced five new 2-DIN car CD receivers with the latest Bluetooth features, USB connectivity, iPod/iPhone capabilities, great lighting, redesigned radio tuners and significantly increased LCD size.
The KW-R500 ($169.95) The CD receiver is designed for iPod/iPhone and features two auxiliary inputs, a front USB port, Pandora Internet radio application control and over 30,000 separate lighting options with variable colors. It also features 2-way control for iPod/iPhone, USB for smartphone mass storage with 1A current capacity, HS-IVi tuner, MP3/WMA compatibility, 3-band parametric iEQ, MOS-FET power amplifier, 50W x 4 max. (20W RMS x 4) and is steering wheel remote control ready.
The KW-R800BT ($219.95) The CD receiver is a dual USB/CD receiver with AUX input and built-in Bluetooth technology (phone book access profile, phone book transfer, hands-free function, audio streaming, AVRCP, SMS reception notification, voice recognition, compatibility check mode, ability to always connect to 2 phones), Pandora Internet radio application control for iPhone, JVC original application control, Smart Remote for Android, is suitable for satellite radio and steering wheel remote control and offers over 30,000 separate lighting options with changeable colors. Music can also be read via USB mass storage on Android and Blackberry phones.
The KW-HDR720 ($199.95) The CD receiver is Bluetooth capable and features a front USB port with external mode and 2-way control for iPod/iPhone, two auxiliary inputs, built-in HD Radio technology, DiAS II tuner, iTunes tagging, MP3/WMA, 3-band parametric iEQ and includes over 30,000 separate lighting options with variable colors. It is also steering wheel remote compatible.
The KW-HDR81BT ($249.95) The CD receiver is a dual USB/CD receiver with integrated HD Radio technology with Bluetooth technology (phone book access profile, phone book transfer, hands-free function, audio streaming, AVRCP, SMS reception notification, voice recognition, compatibility check mode, ability to constantly connect to 2 phones), dual USB ports with 1A current compatibility for smartphones, drive switching mode, DiAS II tuner, iTunes tagging, 3-band parametric iEQ, Pandora Internet radio application control for iPhone, JVC original application control, Smart Remote for control with Android smartphones, over 30,000 separate lighting options with variable color, AUX input and is suitable for satellite radio and steering wheel remote control. Availability
Each JVC 2-DIN CD head unit will be available from February 2012.
