Over the years, presidents and presidential candidates have stayed at countless hotels and resorts in Phoenix during their travels.
Arizona Biltmore has hosted every U.S. president from Herbert Hoover to George W. Bush. One of the few similarities between Barack Obama and Donald Trump is that they bucked tradition and instead stayed at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa in Montelucia when they came to Phoenix. President Joe Biden’s recent visits to Arizona included stays at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown and the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

When Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee for the 2024 election, held her first rally in Arizona with her vice presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, they stayed at a downtown Phoenix hotel known as a convention hub.
Where did Kamala Harris stay in Phoenix?
Harris and Walz stayed at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, a convention hotel that has the most rooms of any hotel in Arizona (1,003 rooms). The roads leading to the hotel had been closed before their stay.
The Sheraton offers business amenities for business travelers and locals working from home, such as private work spaces called studios designed for small meetings. Visitors can sample Sonoran-style dishes prepared with local and indigenous ingredients at Carcara Restaurant or enjoy views of downtown at Breeze Bar & Grill on the fourth floor.
Hotel rooms include a 140 sqm Governor Suite with a king-size bed, a sofa bed, a separate dining room and a separate living room.
