Karl Hein moves to Real Valladolid on loan | News

Karl Hein has joined La Liga team Real Valladolid on loan for the 2024/25 season.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper joined us from his hometown club Nõmme United in 2018. Karl signed his first professional contract with us in May 2019 and signed a new long-term deal shortly after before joining Reading on loan for the remainder of the season in January 2022.

As an Estonian international, Karl has already made 30 appearances for his country’s senior national team. Thanks to his consistent and impressive performances, Karl was named Estonia’s Young Player of the Year in December 2021.

Karl made his first-team debut in September 2022 at the Emirates Stadium in a Carabao Cup third round match against Brighton & Hove Albion.

A successful start to the 2024/25 season: Karl played in all three games of our US tour against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Liverpool.

The loan agreement is subject to the completion of administrative procedures.
