The Kelley School of Business offers A Master from BBusiness AAdministration Program for professional rugby players later this year, after an IE Press release.
Players can also apply for Business Certificate programs and several MAster from SScience PRgrams through the school.
“We are thrilled to continue our track record of bringing business education to high-caliber professional athletes,” said Ash Soni, dean of the Kelley School of Business, in the press release. “As a professional sport in the United States, rugby is on the fast track. I have I have been a rugby fan since my college days in England and am looking forward to seeing these professional rugby players in our Kelley classes.”
The program is aimed at current or former players and allows them to earn a degree or certificate that is flexible and fits their schedules.
“The USRPA-MLRPA partnership with the IU Kelley School of Business is a fantastic opportunity for American rugby players to gain affordable access to one of the most valuable educational opportunities in the country,” said Nick, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the US Rugby Players Association. Civetta says the press release. “American rugby players possess a unique skill set that is extremely valuable in the workplace, and a Kelley MBA gives players the hard skills they need to succeed in their post-playing careers.”
The program includes the Kelley Capstone Experience, which allows student teams to apply skills and knowledge from the program and work on real business projects.
Many of the courses are taught with the help of the school’s own Brian D. Jellison Studiosa $10 million collection of studios that allows teachers and students to meet virtually as if they were in a face-to-face class.
“Rugby players are entrepreneurs and business-minded. That is why we are very pleased that our members and their partners are part of such a prestigious program and school,” Chris Mattina, IInterim period PResidents of The Players of the Major League Rugby Players Association plank, said in the publication.
