Kildare County Council begins summarising 2024 social housing assessments

Kildare County Council is required to undertake a Social Housing Assessment (SSHA 2024), a summary of social housing needs in Kildare.

A statement from the council said: “Only applicants who were registered and approved as needing social housing with Kildare County Council between 1 March 2019 and 31 December 2020 are required to complete this form.

“The SSHA 2024 forms and an introductory letter will be sent to the relevant housing applicants in the coming days.”

The Council continued: If you are a tenant eligible for Housing Assistance (HAP), Rental Accommodation (RAS) or a transfer tenant, you do not need to complete this form.

“The deadline to submit 2024 SSHA forms is Friday, August 23, 2024.”

“According to the service instruction, if the fully completed SSHA 2024 form is not submitted together with the relevant documents, the file will be closed and the applicant will be removed from the housing list,” the council concluded.
