Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants selected by Westcourt as hotel partner for new sports and entertainment district in downtown Orlando

The new Kimpton Orlando is scheduled to open in early 2027 and will mark the second arena-near hotel in the brand’s portfolio.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ fast-growing luxury and lifestyle portfolio, today announces a new partnership with JMA Ventures and Machete Group to develop the boutique luxury brand’s first Orlando location. The new hotel will be located adjacent to the Kia Center Arena and will be part of Westcourt’s new mixed-use sports and entertainment complex that will offer visitors and locals alike a variety of immersive experiences. This collaboration marks a major milestone in Westcourt’s commitment to providing guests with the most upscale hotel stay right in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

The new 11-story, 261-room Kimpton hotel will complement the city’s invigorating atmosphere by offering guests a variety of world-class social spaces. The hotel will feature 1,500 square feet of indoor meeting space and offer guests customized options to ensure each event is truly memorable. Additional social touchpoints include a full-service restaurant and lobby bar, a café, and a poolside bar and lounge. Like all Kimpton hotels, the property will also offer perks such as Kimpton Kickstart morning coffee and tea service, Kimpton Social every evening, a “Forgot? We Got It!” program, in-room yoga mats, and pet-friendly policies.

Westcourt is located on a 3.2-acre site bordered by Church Street to the south, Division Avenue to the west, Central Boulevard to the north and Hughey Avenue to the east. The hotel’s rooftop will house 265 high-end multifamily rental units. The project will also include up to 300,000 square feet of office space and 120,000 square feet of retail space, featuring world-class dining and entertainment.

Additionally, there will be a live events venue with a capacity of 3,500 people, multiple meeting rooms and a 1,140-space parking garage. Guests of the new Kimpton Orlando will also appreciate Westcourt’s 3.5 acres of outdoor common areas, perfect for soaking up the Florida sunshine.

Nickname “The beautiful city”While Orlando is known for its entertainment, it also offers plenty of outdoor adventures, with 140 parks and 100 lakes nearby. One of the city’s most popular lakes for paddle boating and walking is Lake Eola, a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
