Kimpton selected for new mixed-use development in Orlando

The hotel brand announced a new partnership with JMA Ventures and Machete Group to develop the boutique luxury brand’s first location in Orlando.

A first for Kimpton

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ rapidly growing luxury and lifestyle portfolio.

The new hotel will be located next to the Kia Center Arena and is part of Westcourt’s new mixed-use sports and entertainment complex, which will offer visitors and locals a variety of immersive experiences.

This collaboration represents an important milestone in Westcourt’s commitment to providing guests with the most upscale hotel experience right in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

The new 11-story, 261-room Kimpton hotel will complement the city’s atmosphere by offering guests a variety of first-class common spaces.

The hotel will feature 1,500 square meters of indoor meeting space and offer guests customized options. Other social touchpoints include a full-service restaurant and lobby bar, a café, and a pool bar and lounge.

Like all Kimpton hotels, the property also offers perks such as the “Kimpton Kickstart” morning coffee and tea service, a nightly “Kimpton Social,” a “Forgot? We Got It!” program, in-room yoga mats and a pet-friendly policy.

Prime location in Orlando

Westcourt is located on 3.2 acres bordered by Church Street to the south, Division Avenue to the west, Central Boulevard to the north and Hughey Avenue to the east. 265 market-leading multifamily rental units will be built above the hotel.

The project will also feature up to 28,000 square meters of office space and 11,000 square meters of retail space dedicated to providing world-class dining and entertainment.

Additionally, there will be a live events venue with a capacity of 3,500 people, multiple meeting rooms and a 1,140-space parking garage. Guests of the new Kimpton Orlando will also appreciate Westcourt’s 3.5 acres of outdoor common areas, perfect for soaking up the Florida sunshine.

The new Kimpton Orlando will be the seventh Kimpton in Florida. IHG has expanded its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in recent years to become one of the largest in the hotel industry. Globally, brands in this sector continue to make up a growing portion of IHG, with nearly 900 hotels open and planned.
