The fall premieres of the 2024 TV schedule are coming up in the 2024 TV schedule, and that includes the return of NBC’s Law & Order Thursdays. However, that schedule will be different starting this fall, with Organized crime no longer broadcast after SVU And law and order. Fortunately, some exciting casting news seems to be a step in the right direction for NBC’s new lineup on Thursday, and not just because an alum of not one, but two of the network’s hit shows is coming back. Fans, get ready for The blacklist And New Amsterdam Alum Ryan Eggold to law and order!
Ryan Eggold is set to guest star in a season 24 episode with a personal connection to Detective Vince Riley, according to TVLine. The character, named Matt Riley, is the detective’s brother. No further details about the brothers’ dynamic are available at the time of writing, but after Riley’s personal life didn’t receive much attention when Reid Scott joined the cast for season 23, I’m looking forward to seeing his interactions with his brother. Additionally, Eggold was a regular guest star after his role in The blacklistthe short-lived Blacklist Spinoff and then five seasons of New Amsterdam. It might be fun to see him again!
But these are not the only casting news for the upcoming season of law and orderand all three are what make me optimistic that Law & Order Thursdays with only two L&O Mariska Hargitay, also known as the face of the franchise after 25 seasons and is considered SVUOlivia Benson, moves to law and order for an October episode. Since the shows don’t return to NBC until October, that means Benson will be back pretty early in L&O‘s new season. SVUElizabeth Marvel will appear in the same episode as defense attorney Rita Calhoun.
And while I doubt that this casting news means that the law and order Team makes concerted efforts to change after Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 has been renewed for Peacock Premium subscribers and not for NBC. It delves into the family life of a character and intertwines a story with SVU sounds like the beginning of a more coherent L&O World on Thursdays from autumn. Previously OC would be the show with the greatest chances of a crossover with SVU and/or brother drama. It’s hard not to feel encouraged when the original series tries a few new things this season. I was optimistic back in April after a particularly eventful episode, and I’m still optimistic now.
Of course, we have to wait and see whether law and order And SVU are more closely connected or not in the 2024-2025 TV season, not to mention whether Ryan Eggold has a future on the show beyond a guest spot. Whatever happens, there’s plenty to look forward to on Thursdays, even without three full hours of Wolf Entertainment action.
Mark-Paul Gosselaars Found will air at 10 p.m. ET, where Christopher Melonis Organized crimeand I can hardly imagine a more exciting replacement for NBC. If you are not convinced – or simply have not watched FoundThe first season of will be released in spring – you can stream every episode so far with a Peacock subscription, as well as the latest season of law and order.
