Will there be a big return of Elliot Stabler in Law and Order: SVU? If we stick to what Christopher Meloni just kidding, it’s definitely a possibility!
The hit NBC series returns with season 26 on October 3, and ahead of the show’s fall premiere, Chris gave his opinion on his return to the show. Fans know he’s been busy playing the lawman in Law and Order: Organized Crime (season 5 is set to debut on Peacock) and he has made several appearances on SVU since he left the show in 2011.

Although he had no explicit timetable, When He will return, but he revealed that there will be a reunion between Stabler and his former partner Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) sooner than viewers might think.
As he told the outlet, Christopher is not only writing an episode that will be in Law and organised crime Season 5, but in it Stabler and Benson work together again.
“I know Benson will be there OC for a moment,” he revealed to the outlet that he wrote a Bensler reunion into his own episode. “I’ll have the opportunity to… I don’t know. I’ll tell you what. Hopefully I’ll expose a little bit more of the onion, peel back or expose a little bit more depth of feeling between them.”
Even though fans still have to wait for Stabler’s return, SVUat least he will be back in step with Benson OC! Mariska also told diversity in May that she agreed to have the two characters work together on another case.
“I actually plan to. I just told him the other day. We had a party the other day, we saw each other,” she told the outlet about a possible crossover episode. “It was heaven. I met his showrunner. They want us together and Chris and I have talked about it and it’s time.”
“We haven’t been in each other’s universes for a long time,” she added. “That’s why we called and did something like that. But we’re excited to get back in there, get back in the ring.”
Well, it looks like we have a lot to look forward to from this dynamic duo soon!
