Lawsuit: Ryan Seacrest’s ex seriously injured after swallowing plastic shards from a drink on an American Airlines flight

An ex-girlfriend of Ryan Seacrest was seriously injured when she swallowed plastic shards contained in a drink served to her on a flight to Rome, she claimed in a lawsuit.

Former “Amazing Race” contestant Shana Wall said her throat, esophagus, vocal cords and digestive system were injured on May 1 when she swallowed the broken plastic wrap on the American Airlines flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Wall, 51, was bedridden and unable to work after the incident and required ongoing medical treatment for internal injuries, she claimed in the lawsuit filed Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court.

“(American Airlines) had a duty to provide beverages and food that were uncontaminated and fit for consumption,” the actress and model claimed, and “caused the dangerous, defective and unsafe conditions on the aircraft.”

She is seeking unspecified damages for the alleged negligence. Wall and her lawyer did not respond to inquiries from The Post. American Airlines did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The California native, who now lives in the Meatpacking District, reportedly dated television host and producer Seacrest from 2003 to 2005. According to IMDB, she appeared in “Married with Children” and “Entourage.”

Today she is a sommelier and contributor to the men’s magazine Best Life.

The culinary school graduate shares her world travels showcasing aged wines and sprawling vineyards with her thousands of online followers and offers private wine tastings and classes, according to LinkedIn.

Social media posts from mid-May, following the alleged May Day drinks mishap, show her enjoying a few glasses of Barolo in northern Italy.

In June, a passenger on an Air India flight to San Francisco reported finding a blade-like piece of metal in a sweet potato while eating on the plane.

Last year, a Korean Air passenger reportedly found a piece of glass in her mouth while drinking coffee.

None of the passengers swallowed the foreign objects.
