PRIMITIVE WAR: Live-action adaptation of the book and comic series “Dinosaurs in Vietnam” to be released next year

Yesterday we got the first look at Luke Sparkes’ adaptation of Ethan Pettus’ Primitive War Novels have been published, and we can now share them with you below. Sparke’s live-action adaptation will be released sometime in 2025. There’s no trailer yet, but a small selection of stills of the cast have been sent out.

Dinosaurs in the Vietnam War. It sounds like something we imagined as kids while simultaneously playing with our GI Joes and Jurassic Park figures. Someone made it a reality, for all the kids who have grown up and are yearning for something more grown-up.

A new, adult interpretation of the dinosaur genre. Live-action adaptation of the popular book and comic series by Ethan Pettus.

Vietnam 1968. A reconnaissance unit called the Vulture Squad is sent to a remote jungle valley to investigate the fate of a missing platoon of Green Berets. They soon discover that they are not alone.

Primitive War With Ryan Kwanten, Tricia Helfer, Jeremy Piven, Nick Wechsler, Carlos Sanson, Aaron Glanane, Anthony Ingruber, Albert Mwangi, Adolphus Waylee, Henry Nixon, Jake Ryan, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Lincoln Lewis and Ana Thu Nguyen.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to order Pettus’ Primitive War novels and catch up on some before this one comes out.

Should be a low-budget war horror fun.
