Live updates so you can watch

The Tennessee Titans conclude the NFL preseason with Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome.

Brian Callahan said this week that the Titans’ starters will play several series on Sunday. Will Levis and the Titans’ offense were absent from last week’s game against Seattle, but the Titans’ starters will get a chance to improve before the regular season. According to multiple reports, New Orleans is not expected to use its starters.

Week 1 in Chicago is two weeks away, but roster reduction day is Tuesday, giving players on the roster bubble their last chance to make an impact on the field.

Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints: Live updates and highlights from the NFL preseason game

Jabari Small lost the ball on the Titans’ first drive, but the Titans defense held the Saints to three points. Spencer Rattler’s touchdown pass to AT Perry was blocked by a holding offense and Blake Grupe tied the game at 13-13 with a 38-yard field goal.

Not a good moment for Small, who appears to be left out and is applying for the position as reserve running back on the 53-man roster.

Brayden Narveson’s 58-yard field goal attempt at the end of the half falls short and Saints receiver Samson Nacua returns the ball almost the entire length of the field for a kick-six. But Thomas Odukoya’s good effort forces him to step out of bounds inside the 5-yard line.

Blake Grupe scores from 54 yards out as the Saints offense completes a quick two-minute drill.

Some injury updates:

  • Elijah Molden is being evaluated for a concussion.
  • Chance Campbell was unhappy after limping off the field on the final drive and dropping his helmet and mouth guard on the sideline. We’ll see what the Titans say about his status. Campbell went to the locker room early.

Mason Rudolph is in the game and leads a scoring charge, with a couple of nice throws to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and David Martin-Robinson for first downs. It ends in the red zone with a 26-yard field goal by Brayden Narveson.

Rookie QB Spencer Rattler makes a good start on his first drive of the day, capping the drive against the Titans’ second-string defense with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Equanimeous St. Brown over Jarvis Brownlee coverage. PAT good.

The Titans offense starts a second drive and immediately gets into New Orleans territory with a 33-yard catch by Calvin Ridley. Tennessee is content with a 39-yard field goal by Nick Folk. (Incidentally, Ryan Stonehouse saved both kicks for Folk.)

The Titans’ starting lineup scored two points on two offensive drives and forced two punts on two defensive drives.

The Titans gain 84 yards in nine plays, spurred by a 22-yard screen receiver from TE Nick Vannett and a 22-yard pass receiver from Tyler Boyd on a crossing route. After a DPI on a pass intended for Treylon Burks, Tony Pollard scores a 1-yard touchdown run with Daniel Brunskill as the lead blocker at fullback.

Brian Callahan captured a lot of things on film on this drive that Chicago should be worried about in Week 1.

After a first down attempt by the Saints, the Titans defense forces a stop and a punt near the halfway line. T’Vondre Sweat finally put pressure on Saints QB Jake Haener on the third down, forcing a bad throw, although good coverage also helped.

Next up is Will Levis and the Titans offense.

As planned, Jeffery Simmons and Harold Landry will not play today. Otherwise, it is the Titans who will play with these healthy players in the starting defense. Jarvis Brownlee Jr. will have a lot of snaps today at cornerback.

The Saints’ second offensive team, led by Jake Haener, gets the ball first.

GENTRY ESTES: I have major concerns about the Tennessee Titans, but Will Levis is not one of them
