The series premiered in Poland on July 18, 2024 on the TVP2 channel, replacing the popular series Forbidden Fruit. Love and Hope is a Turkish soap opera that tells the story of a young girl, Zeynep. Her life changes drastically when her mother goes to prison and she discovers that the influential lawyer Bulent, who offers her support, is her biological father. Zeynep moves to Istanbul, where she has to face new challenges, intrigues and secrets from the past.
Melis tries to convince Ege to return home as Aunt Belkis requested, but he has no intention of returning. “I feel like I’m losing a friend” – Melis confesses and angrily asks the boy how he feels about Zeynep.
Naciye and Handan plot to fire Elif from the firm behind Kuzey’s back. Finally, they take a risky step and send the intern a message from the man’s phone, proposing a meeting. “I will wait for you with a trembling heart” – says the message.
Belkis encourages Feraye to find out who Zeynep’s mother is. “She ruined the atmosphere in your home” – explains. Will Bulent’s wife discover his secret?
Zeynep notices that Belkis is searching her room. The woman advises her not to cause trouble for Bulent’s family. The girl does not know that Aunt Melis is Ege’s mother. Belkis doesn’t give up and decides to follow Zeynep.
Meanwhile, Yildiz’s ex-partner sets a trap for her. On the way to her son, the woman is attacked. “You will not take the custody dispute to court. And if you do, you will never see your son again,” she is told by the attacker.
Kuzey takes Handan and Naciye to lunch at the place where Elif is supposed to appear. The girl is convinced that she will meet Kuzey. “You will pay for what you have done” – she says when she meets Handan in his place at the restaurant.
Feraye still suspects that her husband is hiding something from her, which only increases her fear. Meanwhile, Belkis follows Zeynep, but loses sight of her when she gets into Ege’s car. Zeynep and Ege spend time together on the observation deck, where he takes care of her after she sustains a minor ankle injury. The couple kiss. Elif, disappointed by Handan’s scheming, decides to confront her and begins collecting evidence of her actions. Meanwhile, Handan and Naciye wait for Elif at a cafe, worried about her absence. At the law office, Fusun and Bulent talk about Zeynep when Feraye suddenly appears, creating tension and revealing her growing suspicions.
Yildiz returns home after an unpleasant incident and tries to hide her well-being from her family. However, an unpleasant surprise awaits her there – Murvet’s sister throws her things out the door and accuses her of lying and inappropriate behavior. The conflict escalates, when Murvet reveals his frustration over his difficult financial situation and accuses Yildiz of being irresponsible and not caring about the family’s future. In the meantime, Kuzey receives an MMS message from Elif, in which she informs him that she is ending their cooperation due to his insulting suggestions towards her.
Zeynep can’t stop thinking about kissing Ege, which Melis notices, suggesting that Zeynep dreams of a rich life and an attractive boyfriend. Although Zeynep tries to build a friendly relationship with Melis, she treats her coldly and warns her about the dangers of her dreams. At the same time, Ege cannot forget the events of the previous evening and is angry with himself because of it., that he succumbed to his feelingsMeanwhile, Feraye discovers that Fusun, whom Bulent introduced as a client, had lied when he said he knew Zeynep. This arouses her suspicions and prompts her to investigate further.
Yildiz is against Kuzey interfering in her family’s legal affairs because she fears that Elif might remember her past love for him. However, Elif reassures the family and emphasizes that the past no longer bothers her. Meanwhile, Kuzey, who is visited by Bulent, talks about his difficult relationship with his mother, who tries to persuade him to marry Handan. Kuzey expresses her doubts and reluctance to marry, as she wants more authentic experiences than formalities. Finally, Feraye, suspecting that Zeynep has something to hide, goes to her father’s apartment, where she unexpectedly meets Belkis, who is also interested in Zeynep’s secrets.
Melis, who is accused of lying by Ege, admits that she told his mother that Ege would come home because Aunt Belkis was sad. Ege is confused and disappointed because Melis claims she lied out of love for him, which complicates the situation between them.. Meanwhile, Feraye and Belkis visit Cigdem to learn more about Zeynep’s family, but they encounter a difficult situation related to Cigdem’s past. Kuzey is forced to face his mother, who refuses to apologize to Elif for her past manipulations, and Elif learns that Kuzey and Handan are planning an engagement.
Zeynep and Ege meet on the terrace where they have an open conversation about their feelings. Ege apologizes for the kiss, but he does not regret what happened and Zeynep admits that she is not angry with him. Meanwhile, Suat, Firdev’s husband, shows interest in Murvet and her sister Yildiz, hinting at a past intimacy between them. Yildiz remembers her past and feels guilty about her marriage to Kursat, which was arranged by her sister to protect her from a relationship with Suat.
