L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has secured a contract worth over $120 million from the U.S. Marine Corps for multi-channel handheld and vehicle radio systems.

The company announced Wednesday that the USMC has placed the order under a 10-year, $750 million, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for L3Harris-built Falcon IV Handheld radios.

Falcon IV is a software-defined device that gives users access to a broad portfolio of robust waveforms to ensure spectrum superiority against emerging threats. The radio also allows for instant upgrades to meet the National Security Agency’s high security standards.

“Our ongoing investments in highly reliable technology are focused on enabling the U.S. Marines and other customers to operate smoothly on the move without enemy interference or detection,” said Chris Aebli, president of tactical communications at L3Harris.

“These state-of-the-art systems enable our forces to coordinate with a growing coalition that has chosen L3Harris as a provider of reliable communications systems,” added Aebli.

The latest award brings the total value of the IDIQ contract to over $600 million.
