Matt Walsh angers Democrats by storming into the DNC disguised as “white guys for Kamala Harris”

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh caused a stir at the Democratic Party Convention when he disrupted the event disguised as “white guys for Kamala Harris.”

Walsh sparked a backlash from Democrats after he was spotted in his guise as a woke liberal – taunting them with a ponytail wig and a “Kamala Harris for President” hat as he wandered around the United Center in Chicago on Tuesday.

In a scene widely shared on social media, Walsh strolled into the background as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was being interviewed by CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.

As Walsh was seen being escorted out as he attempted to storm the interview, liberal viewers expressed outrage at Walsh’s mockery of their party convention.

One commented: “Why is (Matt Walsh) walking around the DNC in disguise? Just weird behavior.”

Walsh’s undercover appearance appears to be part of his upcoming political satire film “Am I a Racist?”, in which the commentator provokes an anti-racism workshop in one scene.

After being recognized from his previous film, What Is A Woman?, Walsh decided to adopt the same look for his next film as a person he interviewed in that film.

Following the example of University of Tennessee gender expert Patrick Grzanka, he kept his thick beard but wore a man bun to poke fun at long-haired liberals.

The disguise may have served him well for the rest of the upcoming film — including his role as a bumbling, inexperienced diversity consultant who spouts catchphrases about racial justice — but his efforts at the DNC were anything but covert.

He quickly gained recognition from fans and critics, with some true Democrats taking offense at his mockery of their adoration for Kamala Harris.

In addition to his ponytail and red Harris cap, Walsh also covered his blazer with stickers featuring the Democratic candidate’s platform, including “Freedom from Gun Violence” and “Vote for Court Reform.”

While Walsh’s fans found his efforts “hilarious,” his appearance at the DNC was less than welcome among Kamala Harris supporters, who urged attendees not to provide him with content for his new documentary.

“(Matt Walsh) is at the DNC posing as a delegate. DO NOT TALK TO HIM,” said one critic on X.

“Call him! Tell security if you can… spread the word!!! #Hatemonger #Fake #Loser”

Another shared pictures of Walsh and called him “weird” and “disgusting.”

While not everyone seemed to understand Walsh’s trick, others quickly recognized his ponytail look as part of his new anti-woke documentary.

One viewer joked that he was a “man on a mission to understand his internalized racism – and where better to do that than at the DNC?”

Walsh gave DailyMail.com an exclusive look at his new documentary this month, sharing a clip showing the moment he realised he would have to go undercover for some scenes.

He had infiltrated a support group called “Mourning White Privilege, Training for an Anti-Racist Alliance” and pretended his name was Steven.

But he made the mistake of wearing his trademark check shirt, thick beard and quiff.

During the meeting, it became clear to one attendee that one of the leading voices of America’s right wing was in their midst, which quickly turned the atmosphere sour.

“I want to know that my physical safety, yours and that of everyone else here is in order,” said one participant with a trembling voice.

Breeshia Wade, the black woman who led the group of white participants, asked Walsh to leave – before other members threatened to call the police.

In an email to The Mail, Walsh poked fun at the incident, quipping: “I wanted to confront my whiteness and they called the police… that doesn’t seem like a safe place to me.”
