Nanlite introduces the full-color LED light Forza 60CR

Introducing Nanlite’s Forza 60CR full-color LED light, which adds LumenRadio CRMX functionality to the original model.

Nanlite’s Forza 60C, released two years ago, was the company’s first full-color point source luminaire to feature the RGBLAC six-color mixing system. Given the market response, it’s no surprise that the new Forza 60CR full-color LED luminaire builds on the strengths of the original technology. It offers all the benefits of the Forza 60C, but also features LumenRadio CRMX for additional console and app control.

The lightweight 60W lamp head weighs 1.16kg, slightly more than the original (1.08kg), but both offer a high illuminance of 12,810 lux at 1m with reflector fitted. The light offers an ultra-wide CCT range of 1800K to 20,000K with ±100 green/magenta adjustment

The light utilizes Nanlite’s advanced RGBLAC six-color mixing technology to achieve greater accuracy and color saturation. The theory is that by incorporating additional lime, amber, and cyan LED emitters alongside RGB emitters, it creates a much more complete spectrum of light than traditional RGBWW lights.

“Saturation is significantly enhanced in HSI mode for colors other than RGB, giving the Forza 60C/60CR a head start in color reproduction over other existing RGB, RGBW and RGBWW lights,” the company explains. “Full spectrum, wider color gamut and more accurate, subtle color reproduction for less saturated colors can also be easily achieved.”

Forza 60CR and Forza 60C both feature a hardware and software platform specifically designed for use with RGBLAC light sources. They offer the usual range of effects, professional options for HSI, RGBW and XY coordinates for colour calibration and users can set their desired values with increased flexibility, enabled by integrated controls via the Nanlink app, DMX/RDM and LumenRadio CRMX (Forza 60CR only).

There is a good range of lighting accessories available. The new light uses the same FM mount as the original (it also comes with a Bowens adapter). It also comes with an NP-F battery grip for handheld use. Both lights can run for around two hours at 100% brightness using a 14.8V 160Wh battery.

The price is $699 and is available immediately.
