NASA provides update on status of manned flight tests

WASHINGTON, 13 August 2024 /PRNewswire/ — NASA will host a media teleconference on 1:00 p.m. EDT, Wednesday, August 14to provide an update on the agency’s Boeing Crew Flight Test. Mission managers continue to assess the Starliner spacecraft’s readiness ahead of decision meetings, which will take place no earlier than next week, on the return of NASA astronauts. NASA’s Boeing Crew Flight Test started on 5 June on a ULA (United Launch Alliance) Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in FloridaIt is an end-to-end test of the Starliner system as part of the agency’s Commercial Crew Program. By partnering with America’s private sector, NASA is opening up access to low Earth orbit and the space station to more people, science and commercial opportunities.
