NASCAR Qualifying CANCELLED Due to Rain – Starting Lineup for FireKeepers Casino 400

NASCAR has canceled Qualifying for the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway after bad weather conditions prevailed on the race track.

The announcement that qualifying would not take place was made via NASCAR’s social media channels. The final practice session in Michigan was also canceled.

The rain had affected about half of the training and with a huge storm approachingNASCAR decided to cancel qualifying, which was scheduled to take place shortly thereafter.

With cars now unable to compete for their starting positions, NASCAR has confirmed that the order for Sunday’s race will be determined according to the rule book, meaning the lineup will now be based on NASCAR Performance Metric Values.

NASCAR has confirmed that Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin will start at the front of the grid for tomorrow’s race. The rest of the starting grid is listed below.
