Nathan Tilmon, three-star safety from Mansfield Timberview, moves to Utah

Mansfield Timberview three-star safety Nathan Tilmon announced his commitment to Utah on Saturday, choosing the Utes over two other teams that have played in the College Football Playoff the past two years.

Tilmon’s other finalists were 2023 national semifinalist Texas and 2022 national runner-up TCU. He had previously committed to SMU before withdrawing his commitment on June 23.

Utah is coming off an 8-5 season and is moving from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 after losing to Northwestern in the Las Vegas Bowl. In Tilmon, they have signed a player who is considered the fifth-best safety in the Dallas area and the 79th-best safety in the nation in the class of 2025.
