The season of the annual meetings of the State Congress begins in September

While the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Annual Meeting and Pastors’ Conference is the largest single gathering of Southern Baptists held each year, more Southern Baptists attend their national annual meetings together each fall.

September through November are busy months in the SBC as 40 of the 41 national congregations meet to worship, pray, and conduct business. Puerto Rico holds its annual meeting in the spring.

These state-level meetings are held in a variety of locations and settings and are a great opportunity for encouragement and edification for local pastors and church members. It is also an opportunity for state and national organizations to present their ministries to Southern Baptists across the country.

The event begins in New York in late September and culminates in mid-November when 17 states meet during the week of November 10-14. For more information about your state’s annual meeting, visit your state convention website.

Hotel information for SBC25 published

NASHVILLE (BP) — Hotel information for the 2025 SBC Annual Convention and Pastors’ Conference has been posted on the Annual Convention website. Hotel reservations will be available beginning Monday, Oct. 7 at noon Eastern Time.

The Omni Dallas will once again serve as the convention hotel for the event at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The Omni has the distinction of being the only hotel connected to the center – a drastic change from the setup in Indianapolis in 2024, when more than a dozen hotels were connected to the facility.

With demand for more than 20,000 room nights expected for the coming week, the SBC Executive Committee has signed room contracts with more than two dozen hotels throughout the Metroplex.

“It is always challenging to determine how many rooms are needed in a given city,” said Lynn Richmond, SBC EC convention manager. “We are grateful that Dallas has worked with us to ensure we have enough rooms available for our attendees.”

The last time the annual meeting was held in Dallas in 2018, there were 9,632 attendees. In 2025, more than 12,000 attendees are expected, with a total attendance expected to be around 17,500.
