McFarlane Toys has really expanded their DC Comics DC Multiverse line with the release of the Chase Platinum Edition. The Platinum Edition figures are pretty much a rarity in special editions that varies from set to set. Typically these Platinum Edition figures are a 1:6 set, meaning that if you get a box of 6 figures, one of them is a Chase, but not always. This leaves some figures rarer than there and allows McFarlane Toys to keep the toy chase alive. Platinum started out with just Bronze decorations, which then became Artist Proof editions and now something even better. From classic costumes and various decorations to all-new figures and everything in between, these Platinum Edition figures are a treat for any DC Comics collector.
Even the new Collector’s Edition offers alternate looks for Batman and Huntress from The Dark Knight Returns. Batman gets a darker decor and will not feature the battle-damaged decor, but a clean bat suit. Huntress, on the other hand, gets a more traditional DC Comics Bird of Prey costume with new, lighter decor. Both figures are scheduled to be released in September 2024.
