NFL.com selects Garett Bolles as a potential rookie Pro Bowler in 2024

The leadership

With only one week of NFL preseason games remaining, there is increased discussion about players who can make an impact in 2024.

NFL.com recently named a potential Pro Bowl rookie from each team, and the Broncos chose left tackle Garett Bolles.

A first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Bolles has started all 99 games he has played with Denver. Although he has always been a Bronco, Bolles will enter 2024 with more continuity than he has often experienced in his career. This year, for the second time in his career, Bolles will play under the same head coach and offensive line coach for two consecutive seasons.

The last time Bolles played a season with the same leadership at those two coaching positions, he had one of the best seasons of his career and was named second-team All-Pro. He will look to repeat that success this season.

“Bolles is an excellent blindside pass protector who allowed fewer than five sacks in six of seven seasons, according to PFF,” wrote Kevin Patra of NFL.com. “The veteran has mitigated some of the penalties that plagued him earlier in his career and has become a rock for the Broncos.”

Even though he’s entering his eighth year in the league, Bolles has said throughout training camp that he feels as strong and fast as he has at any point in his career. After playing every offensive snap in the 2023 season, Bolles continues to look for ways to improve his game.

“I feel great,” Bolles said in July. “My body feels great, my mind feels great. I’m proud to get better every year. I feel like that’s what I’ve been doing. … I’m as strong and fast as I’ve ever been.”

His growing confidence and consistency could take his game to the next level this season.
