NFL waiver wire order following Tuesday’s roster cuts

Well, at least the Carolina Panthers are number 1 in something.

Now that each team is down to its original 53-man roster, there is a plethora of players just waiting to be brought in. Those who were waived by Tuesday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline can be claimed off the waivers list until Wednesday at noon ET.

Leading the pack with first-round access to any player from now through Week 3 of the regular season are the Carolina Panthers and general manager Dan Morgan, who has made his intentions to secure a spot at the top of the list pretty clear this offseason.

“I think the cool thing about us right now is we don’t want to do this every year, but we’re first in line for waiver wire transactions,” Morgan said in May. “So we have the privilege of getting any player that comes out. I think we’ll be aggressive about that. I think if the right opportunity comes along, the right player comes along, then we have the opportunity to get him and put him on our roster.”

But what about the rest of the league?
