During the last Partner Direct, Nintendo actually shared some surprising news about the Switch Online service.
In case you missed the announcement, Nintendo will be adding the NES version of Tetris (1989/1990) to the NES library this winter. There’s no specific date, but we caught a quick glimpse of the original game in action at the end of the Tetris Forever trailer.
Tetris joins a growing library of NES games that already includes the likes of Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, EarthBound Beginnings, and Ninja Gaiden. For the full list of NES games included in the base Switch Online version, check out our complete guide.
