Obituary for Harry Keslar (1933 – 08.08.2024) – Scottdale, PA

Harry T. Keslar Sr., 91, of Scottdale, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024. He was born March 20, 1933, in Acme, the son of the late John and Birdie (Lankey) Keslar. Harry retired from U.S. Steel, where he worked as a crane operator. He attended Mt. Joy Covenant Brethren Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. Harry enjoyed the outdoors and belonged to several sports organizations. He was a member of Marion Masonic Lodge #562 for 50 years and belonged to the Shriner’s, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh and Uniontown. He was an avid reader of history, had an interest in family genealogy, and was a numismatist (coin collector). He is survived by his children, Edith Spinneweber (Roger), Cheryl Hiltabidel, Elizabeth Espey, and Harry T. Keslar Jr. (Holly); five grandchildren, Eric Spinneweber (Linda), Lisa Trayter (Joe), Leslie Kourpas, Sarah Rice (Garrett), and Joseph Espey III (fiancé, Morgan Hollowood); nine great-grandchildren, Paul, John, Christopher, Ellie, Emma, ​​Eva, Colt, Ryder, and Dane; a brother, Richard Keslar (Margie); and sisters-in-law, Helen Keslar and Benita Keslar; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Leona (Leasure) Keslar; a sister, Lucy Princler; and his brothers, Charles David, John, James, and Robert Keslar. Family and friends are welcome at GRAFT-JACQUILLARD FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 303 Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Peter Nordby officiating. Interment will follow in Keslar Cemetery with military honors provided by Donegal VFW Post 6743.
