Thomas C. Ward of Kittanning, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2024, after battling a series of debilitating illnesses for years. Thomas was born December 13, 1946, the son of the late Marlin W. and Naomi E. (Milliron) Ward. He graduated from Har-Brack High School and Forbes Road East Auto Diesel Technology in 1964. Thomas retired from ATI Brackenridge Works, where he worked in many different departments and made many lifelong friendships during his over 45 years with the company. His true passion was blacksmithing, and he was one of the last journeymen to learn his trade back at Allegheny Ludlum. Thomas and his wife of 47 years had no children, they spent much of their time traveling the world and supporting many charities with their time and money. Surviving include his brother Barry L. (Paula) Ward and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carol J. (Beers) Ward and his four brothers Clifford M., Mark A., Kent L. and Paige M. Ward. In accordance with Mr. Ward’s final wishes, there will be no public viewing. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
