What is a recall?
If a manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a vehicle poses an unreasonable safety risk or does not meet minimum safety standards, the manufacturer is required to fix the vehicle at no charge. This may be done through repair, replacement, refund (for equipment), or in rare cases, repurchase of the vehicle.

What should I do if my vehicle is affected by this recall?
If your vehicle is affected by this recall, It is very important that you have the problem fixed as soon as possible, as failure to do so poses a potential danger to you and your passengers.. You should receive a separate letter from the vehicle manufacturer informing you of the recall, explaining when the remedy will be available, who to contact to have your vehicle repaired, and reminding you that the repair will be performed at no charge to you.
