Opening of the first drive-thru pharmacy in the Greater Cleveland area in South Euclid

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Soon, getting cannabis in the Cleveland area will be as easy as ordering dinner at a fast-food counter.

CERTIFIED Dispensary has its grand opening on Friday in South Euclid on Cedar Road. The dispensary will not only offer cannabis for medical and recreational use, but will also be the first in the Greater Cleveland area to have a drive-thru.

The dispensary will be the first of cannabis brand CERTIFIED, a family-run facility based in Dayton.

In addition to the drive-thru service, the pharmacy will also offer the option of online ordering and pre-ordering. Future services will include a mobile app and loyalty points.

“We are incredibly excited to engage more directly with the Cleveland community and be part of Ohio’s historic upcoming recreational cannabis sale,” General Manager Aaron Maholtz said in a press release.

The CERTIFIED Dispensary is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. pm For the first 20 days of opening, medical patients will receive 20% off all products. Recreational customers will receive 10% off. Veterans, medical patients in need and employees with service ID will receive 20% off in addition to daily specials.

Ohioans had to wait nine months to legally purchase marijuana after 57% of voters approved a bill last November that would allow adults 21 and older to buy and possess up to 2.5 ounces of flower and 15 grams (about half an ounce) of extract per day, such as in the form of edibles or vape cartridges.

Since the official introduction of recreational cannabis use on August 6, total revenue for Ohio dispensaries through August 17 was nearly $22.5 million.
