Paramount, in collaboration with Atlas Comics and Atlas’ Steven Paul, has announced the development of adaptations of the comic company’s numerous series, starting with Devil. The project will be live-action and is set to be written by Rebecca Webb, owner of Blick List, with Paul serving as a producer on the project. Other names confirmed to be involved in the project include Jason Goodman, the grandson of Marvel Comics founder Martin Goodman. Goodman is executive producing alongside Scott Karol, president of SP Media Group. Also from SP Media Group is Conor O’Farrell, who is also confirmed to be involved in the project.

The Devil The comic follows the title character, a seemingly normal young woman who discovers that she is actually the twin sister of Satan himself and has been manipulated by him for years. The story then follows Devilina as she uncovers the secrets of her past after fleeing to New York to find answers, including a detective investigating a series of murders that seem to be connected to her.

Devil was the first of a series of hits for Atlas Comics in 1975 and branched out into a shared world of supernatural adventures, introducing audiences and readers to more iconic characters. Paul confirmed in an interview that several projects are planned for Atlas Comics and Paramount, with a special studio deal that Devil She will reprise her role and serve as an introduction to her mysterious world, which will soon be presented to audiences again in film form.
