Pelosi talks about her book “The Art of Power” and expresses confidence about Harris’ chances

Representative Nancy Pelosi:

Well, first of all, we just have to start where we are. We have to win the election, and we have to decide to win.

If you choose to win, you make every choice in favor of winning. You choose to hold the line and drive voters to the polls. You choose to have a bold, progressive message that is non-threatening and speaks to the problems facing the American people. You choose to have the resources and the money to do both of those things.

And the most important decision is choosing the candidate. And we have chosen our candidate. We have chosen the president and the vice president. We are very proud of that. Now we have decided to take one good day at a time, to mobilize, to send messages and also – and I have my three no’s, no wasted time, no unused resources and no regrets the day after the election that we could have done more.

Some elections are decided by just a few votes in a state. I always compare it to the Olympics, because we’re in the season. Gold, silver, bronze, happy to be an Olympian, within a second, within a second. These elections are so close.

We all have to do our part to win, and that’s what we want to do. That’s why I’m running this time, to make sure I’m in position and strengthened to help. We want the candidates to be themselves. That’s what they need to be. They need to be themselves, be ready, and be proud of who they are.

And that’s it. But we have to help them cross the finish line. That’s what’s most important to me right now: making sure he never sets foot in the White House again and that we have a House and Senate that support our Democratic president and vice president.
