Former President Donald Trump’s motorcade was spotted on Main Street on Saturday as the 2024 presidential candidate visited Aspen for a private fundraising dinner. A plane believed to be carrying Trump landed at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport around 4:30 p.m., and the motorcade passed through town around 5 p.m.
A handful of supporters of both Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris stood with banners, flags and signs at opposite corners of Paepcke Park as the motorcade passed.
The Trump fundraiser, called the TRUMP 47 Dinner, offered several levels of participation ranging from $25,000 to $500,000 per couple. The highest level, $500,000, included a spot on the host committee, a panel discussion, a photo opportunity and VIP seating at the dinner.
The lower categories offered perks such as photos and VIP seating for $100,000 and general dinner seating for $25,000.
The event’s goal was to raise significant funds for Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC). Contributions will be split between Trump’s campaign, political action committees, and the RNC. According to the Trump 47 Committee, donations will be allocated to the Trump for President general election account, the Trump for President vote recount account, the Save America PAC, and the RNC.
It was not publicly announced where the dinner took place.
