Player withdraws from Monday training to join Leicester

One of Leicester City’s transfer candidates is pushing for a move to the promoted side this summer.

Leicester City is still looking for new signings, although the squad is severely depleted.

To cope with the difficult life in the Premier League, they need new signings this summer and to avoid relegation this season, they need quality in their squad.

Having lost key players Enzo Maresca and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea, they have fallen on hard times off the pitch and now it is time to make smart decisions.

Leicester are expected to negotiate with Genk over the signing of Bilal El Khannouss after their offer of €15-20 million was rejected.

The player’s current contract with the Belgian club has three years left to run and the club is now waiting for a better offer from the Premier League club.

According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the player refused to train with the club after Genk’s sporting director refused to meet him and his entourage to discuss a move to Leicester City.

The Foxes made their bid for the player, which was rejected, but now they could come back with another offer.

Leicester City are likely to come back with another offer for the attacking midfielder. The offer is said to be around 25 million euros plus bonus.
