The PocketBook Verse Pro Color, first introduced about two months ago, is now available. The 6-inch e-reader is available on Amazon for $169, but can also be ordered through PocketBook or other retailers.
The e-reader impresses with its compact design, measuring only 10.8 x 15.6 x 0.76 cm and weighing an equally handy 182 grams. The 6-inch display of the Kaleido 3 offers a resolution of 300 PPI in black and white mode, which drops to 150 PPI when displaying color content. The integrated SMARTlight function allows you to adjust the color tone of the display and thus ensure the optimal reading experience every time, regardless of the ambient light conditions. The integrated sensors include a G-sensor and a cover sensor.
The Verse Pro Color is also IPX8 waterproof, so you can take it to the pool or beach without worrying about water damaging the e-reader. A handy feature of the Verse Pro Color is its support for audiobooks. It also has a text-to-speech feature and can read any e-book to you. The e-reader also supports Bluetooth 5.4, so you can connect external speakers or headphones if you want a more immersive listening experience.
It also has a USB-C port for wired connections or for charging the battery. PocketBook claims that the 2100mAh battery lasts for a month on a single charge. Under the hood is a quad-core processor, along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It supports a wide range of e-book formats, as well as CBR and CBZ file formats for reading comics. Plus, it also supports six audiobook formats. It’s online via dual-band Wi-Fi, and the built-in bookstore offers plenty of options for reading e-books, audiobooks, comics, and more. The e-reader is available in Stormy Sea color.
