A power outage left over 8,300 Seattle City Light customers in the Burien area without power on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Seattle City Light is investigating the cause and estimates restoration time to be approximately 11 p.m.
The cause may be related to a series of severe gusts (with speeds of around 65 km/h) that swept through the region on Sunday afternoon, but this has not yet been confirmed.
The outage area extends from Gregory Heights up to Boulevard Park and parts of White Center.
Crews are responding to a power outage in the Burien, Highline and Boulevard Park areas, affecting approximately 8,300 customers.
