Warning: Spoilers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Darkest Hour No. 1!Jason Lee Scott’s final legacy with the Power Rangers is an unexpected one. As the first Red Ranger of the franchise, Jason is more closely connected to the franchise than most members of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast. So when BOOM! Studios’ comic book sequel came to an end, viewers were especially curious to see what Jason would look like in the final issue.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Darkest Hour #1 – written by Melissa Flores, with art by Simona Di Gianfelice – reveals that Jason is not even wearing a Ranger suit again. Even for one last hurrah, Readers don’t get to see a final shot of Jason in his Red Ranger suit, as one would expect, but that’s exactly what the character wants for himself.

Former Red Ranger Jason tells Yellow Ranger Taylor Earnhardt that he has come to terms with life without being a Ranger.

Although Jason will go down in history as perhaps the greatest Red Ranger in franchise history, he prefers to stay in civilian life rather than Ranger life. Considering his journey both on the panel and on the screen, this is the perfect fit for a character like him.

With or without morpher
