In a thrilling final spurt they scored 6:1 POWER SQUEEZING (f, 3, Union Rags–Callmethesqueeze, by Awesome Again) just came out on top to defeat 9-5 favorite Candied (Candy Ride {Arg}) in the GI Alabama Stakes at Saratoga on Saturday. Both mares came out of the field as the field closed on pacesetter Chatalas (Gun Runner), and while Candied took the first jump on the inside, Power Squeeze found her rhythm by the furlong and the pair cruised to the finish in third place with Just Basking (Arrogate) not far behind. Overall record: 10-6-1-1.
