The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday’s lottery drawing is an estimated $20 million, with the option for a $10 million cash payout.
The winning numbers were: 8, 9, 23, 29 and 62. The Powerball number drawn was 13 with a Power Play of 2X.
The $213.8 million Powerball jackpot was won Monday night on a single ticket sold in Pennsylvania.
A $50,000 Powerball ticket was purchased at a Hudson County newsstand for Monday’s lottery drawing.
The lucky third-prize Powerball ticket was sold at Union City News, 3202 Bergenline Ave. in Union City, lottery officials said. The ticket had four matching numbers but not the Powerball.
Monday’s winning numbers were: 22, 68, 9, 67 and 57. The Powerball number drawn was 14 with a Power Play of 3X.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,388. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance of matching five numbers and winning at least $1 million, while the odds of winning a third prize of at least $50,000 are 1 in 913,129.
The Powerball drawing takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
