Queen Camilla chose one of her favourite designers for the Ebor Festival in York, England, where she also opened the state-of-the-art complex called Bustardthorpe Development at the racecourse on Saturday. The Queen chose a powder blue dress by Fiona Clare for the occasion.
Camilla’s ensemble featured intricate embroidery on the collar, placket and cuffs. Details on the figure-hugging dress included delicate florals and leafy vines, reminiscent of romantic summer inspirations.
Along with the dress, the Queen wore a Philip Treacy hat with a blue fabric band and fine detailing. The white hat had a feather in the fabric band. She also wore a pair of neutral Eliot Zed pumps.
To complete her look, Queen Camilla chose jewelry from Kiki McDonough and Van Cleef & Arpels, two designers she regularly favors for her royal engagement accessories.
During her visit to the event, Queen Camilla met jockey Daniel Tudhope as well as racing manager John Warren and trainer Michael Stout.
Queen Camilla has long been a fan of Fiona Clare’s designs, as has another popular designer, Anna Valentine. The Queen’s style consistently combines her signature long-sleeve column dress silhouette with playful patterns and vibrant hues.
Throughout the reign of her husband, King Charles III, Queen Camilla has always demonstrated confidence in her style. Although the silhouette of her dresses rarely changes, the Queen never minds experimenting with patterns, colors or accessories, or even revamping some of her favorite pieces from her most trusted designers.
