Thor is back… in a crazy new trailer for Thor: Raganarok.
And it looks like the God of Thunder is in trouble.
The latest trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, revealed at San Diego Comic Con, is somehow even crazier than the first. The action ramps up and we get to see Thor and Hulk battle in the arena while Cate Blanchett’s goddess of death reigns supreme in Asgard… and we even get a brief glimpse of a fiery new villain.
And the best part: the whole thing is great fun.

The new trailer for Thor: Ragnarok is absolutely incredible.
Back to Asgard: It looks like Thor and his fellow Asgardians are in trouble. Hela – the goddess of death – has arrived… and she is hell-bent on destroying everything Thor loves.
And that includes his hammer, Mjolnir.
Of course, Thor is cast out of his kingdom and thrown into a strange new world where he must fight for survival. And it isn’t long before he comes face to face with an old pal.
Thor helpfully catches up with us as he explains things to Hulk.
“So much has happened since I last saw you,” he says. “I lost my hammer yesterday, so that’s still pretty fresh… and then I went on a journey of self-discovery. And then I met you.”
Luckily, it looks like Thor has found some unexpected allies in the form of Hulk, Valkyrie, and even his duplicitous half-brother Loki. And he’s going to need all the help he can get, because it looks like Hela has some allies too.
We’ve already seen Karl Urban as the comic book classic Skurge… but now it looks like Thor and his friends will have to face an even bigger threat – the demon Surtur, voiced by Clancy Brown.
So not exactly a small problem.

“Trapped on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer, Thor finds himself in a race against time to return to Asgard and prevent Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial battle that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk!”
“Thor: Ragnarok” stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Karl Urban, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba.
Taika Waititi directed the film based on a screenplay by Craig Kyle, Christopher Yost, Stephany Folsom and Eric Pearson.
“Thor: Ragnarok” will be released in theaters on October 27, 2017.
