Thor5 has to do a lot right to restore the intellectual property, even if it is the last Thor film
There are many aspects of Thor’s mythology that fans of the hero want to see on screen. Whether it’s his brother Balder or Beta Ray Bill, there’s still a lot that Thor has yet to experience in the universe created in the MCU.
While the introduction of the Olympian pantheon would be a step in the right direction, many fans are aware that Thor 5 will likely be the last solo film featuring Thor, which cannot possibly do justice to all the elements of Thor’s comic mythos that fans are dying to see in the MCU.
Additionally, the character’s mythology is simply too vast to include in the MCU now, and the character has no living successor to take up her mantle for future projects. While these storylines could have been done with Jane Foster’s Thor, her death in Valhalla likely means the character is on her way to becoming a Valkyrie.
Given the introduction of Valhalla in the MCU, the narrative must resolve the issues surrounding it, which will also ensure that Thor gets the attention he deserves in what may be his final solo film.
