Red Arrows flight path map and where to see them over Greater Manchester on Saturday

Aviation fans in Greater Manchester may be able to see the iconic Red Arrows over their skies this weekend.

The aerobatic team will be taking part in the Blackpool Air Show in Lancashire and will be visible in the skies. The Red Arrows, or Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, will be one of the highlights of the weekend.

With displays of speed, agility and precision for the tens of thousands of spectators, this is an event not to be missed.

The signature diamond formation will put on a brand new show with nine aircraft performing never-before-seen maneuvers. And if you unfortunately miss the flypast event on Saturday, spectators will be able to see it again on Sunday.

Route map and times for the Red Arrows through Greater Manchester

The Red Arrows display on Blackpool’s famous seafront promenade will begin at 2:00 p.m. and is expected to last approximately 20 minutes.

The aerobatic team will depart from Blackpool Airport and fly over Southport on the way to Bolton, before turning to Blackburn and Preston to arrive in the seaside town for the air show.

You can expect to see them in Greater Manchester from 13:54 as they fly over Standish, Horwich before turning over Bottom O’Th’Moor.

After the show, the Red Arrows fly back to Blackpool Airport, where they land before taking off for Edinburgh at 5.42pm.
