Red pill, blue pill – some addendumsRed pill, blue pill – some addendums

Reader/Designer/Buddy Walter Helper has been busy with a project where he basically swaps the colors of red and blue teams so that the dominant color becomes secondary and vice versa. So far he has put together swapped uniforms for teams in the NHL as well as the NFL and MLB

Based on some reader feedback (thanks!), Walter has expanded the NFL and MLB concepts.

Walter has also completed his Red Pill, Blue Pill treatment with a number of NBA teams; we’ll get to that later in the week.

But first the news. This is Walter…

Red pill, blue pill: Addendum
by Walter Helfer

St. Louis Cardinals

I have intervened in God’s realm.

__________

BUFFALO BILLS

Since I made the red home jerseys, I’ve been curious about the white away jersey. The pants are from the Color Rush uniform, but the jerseys have new numbers. Josh Allen wore a royal blue helmet in training camp once, so I remade the stripe to better match the contrail that comes from the bison’s horn.

__________

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

I appreciate the irony of being blamed for “ruining” baseball teams while being praised for “improving” the Patriots. My opinion is just the opposite: “Who cares if the Dodgers are red? DON’T MESS WITH MY PATS!!!” While a white Pats jersey with red numbers could pass — ask the Giants — I wanted to pay attention to details. Outlining the players’ names with a second color is crucial, and I can’t imagine the jersey without it. Blue pants look OK; I might as well go with the white ones.

Thanks, Walter! Nice additions.

I’ll be back later this week with Walter’s NBA Red/Blue swap.
