rom: The world’s worst burglar? A thief interrupts the theft to read a book

After being caught red-handed while stopping a robbery to read a book about Greek mythology, a would-be burglar in Rome wished he had learned that lesson sooner. The 38-year-old robber entered an apartment in the Prati district after climbing to the balcony, but was distracted by a book. He then immersed himself in the anthology on the terrace.

According to local media reports, the burglar stayed there so long that the 71-year-old homeowner woke up to find him flipping through the pages. The thief tried to escape by sliding down the same balcony, but he was soon arrested after his neighbors stopped him.
