Eggold will guest star in season 24 of Law & Order as the brother of Reid Scott’s Detective Vincent Riley. Fans first met Riley after he joined the force in season 23 of. law and orderand as we continue to reveal Riley’s many layers, his brother emerges from hiding. Eggold’s unnamed character shows up in connection with a case, sparking a Riley family reunion.

Eggold isn’t the only new addition to NBC’s long-running crime series. Maura Tierney has joined the cast of Law & Order as the new 27th Precinct Lieutenant Jessica Brady. Twisters The star is sure to shake up the dynamic in the crew room as this mysterious new character settles in.
“(The lieutenant position is) traditionally more of a supervisory role, but this particular character still likes being a detective because she’s a little more dedicated than the typical lieutenant,” said Rick Eid, Law & Order showrunner. The Wrap before the season 24 premiere. “She still interrogates, she still thinks like a detective, so she’s definitely actively involved in the cases. She’s a little bit idiosyncratic. She has a certain talent for interrogation and noticing little things and certain things that other detectives might not recognize.”
Tony Goldwyn will also return as a series regular after being introduced in Season 23 as a replacement for popular District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston). Saying goodbye to a Law & Order legend is never easy, but with District Attorney Nicholas Baxter at the helm, the team is in good hands.
“One of my top priorities will be to get people back on the same page,” Baxter told Price during his law and orderr debut. “This office is part of a system and that system works most effectively when everyone works together, especially when it comes to my senior staff. I need to know that I have a team I can trust.”
