Sabrina Carpenter gives a “sneak peek” of new music video with Jenna Ortega

Sabrina Carpenter has released a teaser for her upcoming music video “Taste,” which features Jenna Ortega.

The “Please Please Please” singer took to social media to share a 16-second teaser of her new music video, which will be released on Friday.

In the preview, Carpenter is seen grabbing a knife from a bed full of guns. Carpenter then enters a house with a knife in her hand and goes upstairs where she sees Ortega in the shower with a man. Carpenter opens the shower curtain and attacks Ortega as her eyes widen with fear.

“Taste” is the third single from Carpenter’s sixth studio album. Short and sweetwhose release is scheduled for August 23rd.

Carpenter is considered one of the songwriters of “Taste” alongside Julia Michaels and Amy Allen. John Ryan and Ian Kirkpatrick produced the song.

“Taste” follows the success of singles like “Espresso” and “Please Please Please”.

The tracklist for Short and sweet also includes “Good Graces,” “Sharpest Tools,” “Coincidence,” “Bed Chem,” “Dumb & Poetic,” “Slim Pickins,” “Juno,” “Lie to Girls” and “Don’t Smile.”

In an interview with Paper magazine, the lyrics of “Taste” include: “I’m known for sharing” and “You just have to taste me when he kisses you.”

Carpenter told the magazine about her songwriting process and writing about taboo subjects: “I write every song. That doesn’t mean I’m going to release it, but I write it. I think the series of unfortunate events I’ve experienced in relationships are no secret to people who know me or think they know me.”
