A Scottish comedian was furious after his Fringe show had to be cancelled because a fan had a cigarette in the toilet.
Funny Connor Burns performed in front of a full audience at Just The Tonic Nucleus in the capital’s old town.
He is leading a nine-day run of his show 1994 at the International Comedy Festival.
But yesterday’s event had to be canceled in the middle of the show after the secret smoker caught fire in the toilet.
Up to 300 spectators enjoyed the show and the selfish visitor spoiled their evening.
And the comedian from Edinburgh did not hold back from denouncing the person responsible for cancelling the show.
He published a clear statement on social media in which he sharply criticized the person.
The comedian, described as a meteoric rise star on the United Kingdom Comedy scene, also revealed in the explosive tirade that a charity collection could therefore not take place.
A post Uploaded to Instagram, it read: “A huge, heartfelt fuck you to the selfish wanker who toilet and ruined the show for 300 people and prevented a fundraiser for charity!
“Hope the cigarette was worth it, you amazing moron.”
He added some humor to his post, saying, “Yes, I am aware of the irony of my last name.”
He told the disappointed fans that the venue would contact them to either refund their money or get the tickets back for another night.
After uploading the post, he captioned it: “Big apologies to everyone tonight!
“We had so much fun!”
Disappointed fans reacted to the comedy star’s post, with many praising how good the show was before it was canceled.
One said: “I see you for the first time live. I’m devastated because I was already crying from laughing!”
Another commented: “Always an idiot who ruins it for everyone else.”
A third wrote: “The best 15 minutes of comedy you’ve ever seen on the Fringe! That sucked mate.”
And a fourth person replied: “Really disappointed we couldn’t see you.”
“But I am even more angry that some people today are still complete mutants when it comes to public Security.
“Hopefully we can get replacement tickets for next Sunday afternoon so that our weekend is sorted out.”
Connor Burns made his breakthrough on the British comedy scene in 2017 and has enjoyed enormous popularity ever since.
